We are currently looking for hardworking production employees on all shifts to join our Littleton, CO facility. We offer an extensive benefits package for our employees including health insurance, time off, 401(k) matching, and more!

The Punch Quality Operator helps to set up and operate the Punch Press Machine by cutting out the plastic sheets into card form. The operation supplies the stamping processes with cards for further operation.

Hourly rate: $20.75

Shift differential: $2.08

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets the shop floor router and workmanship manual as well as applicable specifications.
  • Understands the location and function of all emergency stops on the machine.
  • Sets up the Punch Press machine to punch in accordance with the specifications on the Proof and Finishing Ticket.
  • Records all measurements of one card from each cavity in the applicable space on the Finishing Ticket after punch is set up to spec.
  • Responsible for accurate operations, loading, and unloading of materials and error adjustments based on instructions, checklists, product specifications, and customer job ticket requirements.
  • Continually checks, monitors, and corrects any quality issues that may occur during each customer job run to minimize downtime and waste.
  • Interprets and completes all Smart Card forms and documents that pertain to the Smart Card department with high accuracy.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all completed work in shop floor data system and/or manual forms as required.
  • Completes required audit paperwork based on job stage and equipment operated.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The candidate must have basic skills required to operate technical machinery. They must be able to use a caliper and other hand tools.
  • The candidate must be able to interface with a PC by inputting and outputting data and loading and unloading programs. Keyboard input skills are necessary.
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (written and verbal). Ability to write simple reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Machine operating experience preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail including distinguishing color.
  • Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Physical Demands
  • Work is conducted in a standing position and requires walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting of materials up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
  • Environment is noisy and may require ear protection.
  • Work involves good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and normal color vision to be able to ensure quality product and maintain safety.
  • Work involves full use of hands/fingers in order to use precision or semi-precision equipment, tools, or instruments requiring deft hand movements.
  • Work involves dealing with fine detail, which can be tiring both mentally and physically.
  • Works with rapidly moving machinery that may require quick adjustments to minimize waste and time.
  • Work is conducted in shifts and may require overtime on other shifts to meet deadlines.
