Job summary

Filtration Group in York, SC is seeking a Production Operator to support its manufacturing lines. You will set up and operate machines, follow safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Candidates should have 2 years of manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, and strong attention to detail. The role requires standing for long periods and occasional lifting, with opportunities to cross-train.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of manufacturing experience at same location.
• Mechanically inclined or ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines including cleaning and lubricating machines.
• Must be willing to be cross trained on multiple roles.
• Must be able to read, write, and count.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in production.
• Good hand eye coordination. Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to speak, read or write English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Has the ability and proficiency to setup and operate machines.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities produced, machine settings and any issues encountered.
• Ability to perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
• Advises supervisor with any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup operator.
• Maintains daily product and scrap records.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
• Keeps work station and surrounding area clean.
• Maintain all assigned tools.
• Any other duties are required by management
