A leading company in the food production industry is seeking a Machine Operator for their second shift. Responsibilities include operating machinery, ensuring product flow, and performing quality inspections. Ideal candidates will have machine operation experience and mechanical aptitude, committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
Job Details:
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
This position is scheduled for Second (2nd) Shift, which runs approximately from 2:45PM to 11 PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for ensuring all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc.
Oversee machine operations and makes minor equipment adjustments.
Performs metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections and paperwork.
May perform basic maintenance on machines. Contacts Maintenance Mechanic if necessary.
Interacts with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation.
May be responsible for machine adjustments when production changeovers occur.
Will work on production line and ensure product standard.
Provides assistance to lower-level team members and may train new or recently promoted team members.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must have at least 3 months Machine Operator experience with in the last 6 months listed on the application. (Can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 3 months.)
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to become Lock Out/Tag Out certified.
Computer Skills preferred
Must be able to lift a 50 pounds and push/pull 100 lbs.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends.
