Our dairy cooperative is seeking a regular, full-time Powder Machine Operator for second shift (3pm-11pm). The Powder Operator will ensure that powder is properly packaged according to type, including accurate weights, 100% seal integrity and correct lab sampling prior to conveyance to the warehouse. Maintain facilities in a sanitary manner to include washing of equipment and cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings and other non-contact surfaces.

Position responsibilities include:

• Schedule flexibility, willingness to work overtime, weekends, holiday and rotate shift, as required. At times overtime, weekend work, holiday work and shift rotation will be mandatory.
• Operate carousel bagger and tote filler ensuring that powder bags are consistent in weight and air evacuation. Perform routine operator maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain and clean bag sealer to ensure optimum performance.
• Perform metal checks according to standard operating procedure.
• Properly sample and maintain lot integrity.
• Empty sly daily and re-bag broken containers, as required.
• Verify that all required documents are filled out properly and are accurate in accordance with Safety and SQF procedures.

Qualified candidates should have High School Diploma (or GED or HiSet) and current or previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the food industry would be a plus for any candidate.
