Machine Operator Positions Open - All Shifts

Elmet Technologies is a leading producer of high-performance metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium.

We are currently sourcing candidates for multiple Machine Operator positions:

Furnace-Sintering - 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

• Proper selection of bricks for part loading.
• Proper visual inspection and handling of green and finished parts.
• Proper/safe loading and unloading of parts, including sand.
• Monitoring and recording of temperature and speed for furnaces, making adjustments as needed.
• Performing inspections and recording results using micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
• Identifying production orders and maintaining traceability.
• Following procedures during power outages on hydrogen systems.
• Cleaning work area after job completion.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Conditioning – 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) & 3rd Shift (10:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

Responsibilities include:

• Processing hot-rolled materials through etching in nitric, HF, and caustic tanks.
• Brushing or sanding cold-rolled materials to meet quality standards.
• Shearing and sanding copper and nickel-clad materials for canning.
• Shearing materials to meet processing and customer specifications.
• Leveling hot-rolled materials per guidelines.
• Shearing finish orders as per customer requirements.
• Sampling and adjusting acid levels in tanks.
• Using lift equipment safely.
• Maintaining safety and quality standards.

Annealing – 2nd Shift (2:00 – 10:30 PM)

Responsibilities include:

• Loading materials into annealers and recording details.
• Unloading and recording finished products.
• Using lift equipment to move materials.
• Following safety protocols.
• Ensuring product quality and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic arithmetic and adherence to specifications.
• Proficient communication in English.
• Understanding of measuring equipment.
• US citizenship or permanent residency required.
