Job description

Elmet Technologies is a leading producer of high-performance metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and niobium.

We are currently sourcing candidates for multiple Machine Operator positions:

Furnace-Sintering - 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

• Proper selection of bricks for part loading.
• Visual inspection and handling of green and finished parts.
• Safe loading and unloading of parts, including sand.
• Monitoring and recording furnace speed and temperature; making adjustments as needed.
• Performing inspections and recording results using tools like micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.
• Identifying production orders and maintaining traceability.
• Following procedures during power outages, especially for hydrogen.
• Cleaning work area after job completion.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Conditioning - 1st and 3rd Shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM)

Responsibilities include processing hot-rolled material, surface preparation of cold-rolled material, shearing and leveling, sampling and adjusting acid levels, and using lift equipment, all while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Annealing - 2nd Shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)

Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials on various annealers, recording process details, weighing and measuring finished products, washing materials, using lift equipment, maintaining safety and quality standards, and collaborating with maintenance for equipment upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1-2 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and interpret specifications.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Understanding of measurement tools and following instructions.
• Position open to U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
