Machine Operator - Plate Saw 2nd shift (South Bend, IN)

Competitive Pay $19-$20/hr + Monthly Bonus Opportunity | $.50 Shift Premium for Afternoon Hours 1pm-9:30pm Monday-Friday | South Bend, IN

What You'll Do:

Operate Plate Saw Machines to cut metal to length

Operate cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Pull, inspect and verify product before processing
Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and scales for accurate inspections
Troubleshoot malfunctions and adjust machine settings as needed

Assist in the packaging of material per written work instructions and work order
Work from blueprints, machine instructions, and specifications
Meet production goals for quality, cycle time, and output
Provide support and mentorship to junior team members as needed

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma/GED required
1-2 years of machining experience (Saw Machine experience a plus!)

Previous forklift experience
Ability to read blueprints and machine instructions
Basic math skills and ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
