Job details

This position starts at $22.45/hr with shift differentials for second and third shifts, and potential overtime. We are currently hiring for first shift.

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining sharp tools, making precision cuts to carcasses to optimize yield, and operating powered tools. Training may take 2-3 months.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate ergonomic lift stands using dual foot controls.
  2. Maintain sharp tools for job tasks.
  3. Make precise cuts to carcasses for processing and yield optimization.
  4. Inspect carcasses and remove defects.
  5. Operate powered tools.
  6. Complete training and certification for LOTO.
Requirements
  • Must perform physical tasks with or without accommodation.
  • Follow safety, food safety, and company policies.
  • Set up work area with needed equipment.
  • Monitor for debris and maintain cleanliness.
  • May lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Work around machinery and chemicals safely.
  • Perform tasks on concrete floors for up to 12 hours, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Work in temperatures ≤35°F for at least 8 hours.
  • Work in wet environments and complete cycles in less than 10 seconds.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months and relevant experience preferred.
