Job summary

Thompson Pipe Group – Pressure in Palatka, FL is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator for 1st shift to support our steel pipe production line. You will operate overhead cranes, presses, grinders, and rolling equipment, set up and adjust machinery, inspect finished parts, and help maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must maintain safety-first mindset and be reliable.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial machinery.
• Ability to successfully complete forklift safety training and demonstrate safe operating practices.
• Ability to successfully complete practical and written overhead crane training.
• Good organizational, housekeeping, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as production needs require.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate various production equipment used in steel pipe manufacturing.
• Set up, adjust, and change over machinery as needed.
• Inspect finished products and verify measurements for quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Safely operate overhead cranes and move materials.
• Load and unload materials along the production line.
• Operate forklifts to transport materials and finished products.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
