Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an extrusion operator in Twinsburg, OH to set up, start, and run extrusion equipment producing thermoplastics per customer specifications and work orders. You will monitor performance, temperatures, and feed rates while maintaining safety standards on a 12-hour shift.

You will collaborate with floor teams to ensure quality and efficiency, troubleshoot issues, and operate in a high-heat environment. Overtime is guaranteed with bonus incentives; training provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience operating extrusion machinery in plastics/manufacturing.
• Ability to startup, set up, operate and monitor production machinery with minimal supervision.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude with eagerness to learn.
• Basic math skills for measurements, adjustments, and quality checks.
• Experience with 12-hour shift schedules.
• Experience operating twin screw or single screw extruders.
• Tow motor/forklift experience.
• Familiarity with mixing, drying, feeding processes in extrusion.
• Experience working in high-heat, continuous production environments.
• Ability to perform light mechanical work and minor equipment adjustments.

Job Description

This person will set up, start, and operate extrusion equipment to produce thermoplastic materials according to customer specifications and work orders, including loading raw materials, supporting the mixing and drying process, and feeding the extruder. monitor machine performance, temperatures, feed rates, and controls systems throughout the process (particularly within a twin screw, high-heat environment), and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency. Regularly walk the production line to check equipment, identify defects or malfunctions, and ensure safe operations, stepping in to troubleshoot or shut down machinery when necessary. You will collaborate with team members across the floor to support overall operations while maintaining a high level of focus and adherence to safety standards at all times.

Compensation:

$48,000 to $50,000 per year annual salary with guaranteed overtime each week and an additional quarterly & annual bonus incentive.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
