Marmon Utility in Seymour, CT is hiring a Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on maintaining production, quality, and safety while minimizing downtime.

No prior machine operation experience is required; we provide paid on-the-job training. Experience as a Machine Operator and strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged. This position offers shift options with overtime and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• No prior machine operation experience required; paid on-the-job training provided.
• Experience as a Machine Operator, Extrusion Operator, Production Operator, Manufacturing Operator, or Equipment Operator encouraged (higher pay depending on experience).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Basic math skills required.
• Education: High school or equivalent (Required).

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality and workplace safety.
• Operate production equipment according to procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Safely handle reels, spools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
• Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements.
