- Weekend Shift: Saturday- Monday: 6am-6pm or Friday - Sunday: 6am-6pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ability to set up and operate metal shear and saw.
- Able to develop a cut list that minimizes scrap.
- Ability to set up and operate captive fastener(PEM) machine.
- Able to use various methods, tools, and equipment to deburr parts.
- Able to identify materials required on a work order.
- Accurately interpret engineering drawings and determine methods to meet required part tolerances, fit, and finish.
- Competently use measuring instruments and contribute to JST's quality program by following quality procedures.
- Utilize a Personal Computer and shop floor control software to accurately track job labor and material usage.
- Understand and follow company procedures and act in a safe manner in a manufacturing environment.
- Maintain stewardship of equipment and contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the shop.
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving results. Work cooperatively with team members and assist engineering with design for manufacturability. Communicate design constraints and work within the team to achieve solutions.
- Able to safely lift and carry, push or pull objects up to 50lbs.
- Able to walk, stand and work on feet for the duration of shift.
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand/power tools or controls.
- Responsible for other duties and tasks assigned and, in some circumstances, may be completely unrelated to this position.
Job Requirements, Skills, And Experiences
- Cutting, Forming, and Finishing Machine operation.
- Able to read blueprints.
- Use of deburring tools and equipment to meet quality standards.
- Experience cutting stainless steels and plastics.
- Able to safely lift and carry, push or pull objects up to 50lbs.
- Able to walk, stand and work on feet for the duration of shift.
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle and operate hand/power tools or controls.
- Ability to work and contribute within a team.
Additional Lead Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and on-time completion.
- Supervise and support production team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust schedules to meet production goals.
- Ensure products meet company standards, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor supply levels, coordinate replenishment, and minimize waste.
- Identify and implement ways to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align production with business objectives.
- Address production challenges, resolve issues, and adjust plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics, incidents, and performance data.
