Job summary

Blommer Chocolate Company is seeking a Machine Operator for the Melting department on 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) in Greenville, PA. The role supports batch production, ingredient handling, and strict adherence to GMP/HACCP standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring ingredients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring product quality while collaborating with the production team. The position requires safety-conscious, reliable team players with a commitment to lean processes and workplace

Qualifications

• Shift: 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with pay rate $21.50 per hour plus $1 shift differential.
• Experience in food manufacturing and adherence to GMP/HACCP guidelines is desirable.
• Ability to maintain ingredient specifications and clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Review, collect, monitor, and document required ingredients to maintain correct recipe specifications
• Combine specified ingredients into mixer and monitor closely to ensure quality standards are met
• Report any foreign objects, defective materials, and missing or damaged tools to the Supervisor
• Perform raw material inventory counts and record findings in the system
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Ensure HACCP documentation, magnet cleaning, downtime, and waste generation compliance; report non-conformities
• Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties as needed
• Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cycle
• Take on extra tasks during downtime (e.g., maintaining clean areas)
• Operate within Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Available Shifts :

• 2nd Shift : 3p-11:30p (pay rate $21.50 per hour +$1 shift differential)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review, collect, monitor, and document required ingredients to maintain correct recipe specifications
• Combine specified ingredients into mixer and monitor closely to ensure quality standards are met
• Report any foreign objects, defective materials, and missing or damaged tools to the Supervisor
• Perform assigned raw material inventory counts and record findings in system
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Ensure critical control point compliance documenting US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) results, magnet cleaning, downtime, waste generation; Report any non-conformities
• Rotate into other production areas and perform additional duties where resources may be needed
• Collaborate with co-workers on the plant floor throughout production cycle
• Pick up other tasks that may be needed during downtime (Maintaining clean work areas, etc.)
• Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Physical Requirements:

• Able to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods of
• Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach
• Occasionally ascend/descend stairs
• Occasionally move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Constantly operate within a manufacturing product environment - daily exposure to noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)

Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:

• Operate with a focus on safety and quality, while maintaining a sanitary work environment
• Comply with Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout requirements for hazardous energy sources
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP) to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled according to quality standards
• Adhere to FDA HACCP guidelines
• Adhere to Allergen Management best practices for food manufacturers
• Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear
• Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
