Position: Machine Operator
ABOUT US

Packaging Services Industries, Inc., began production in 1976 and represents a family of privately owned businesses located in Maryland (MD) and Pennsylvania (PA). Since our inception, PSI has expanded to three plants in the Mid-Atlantic region and is staffed by over 350 employees. POSITION SUMMARY

PSIContainer, located in McAdoo, PA, is a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes, and we are seeking Machine Operators to join our team. Machine Operators set up and operate machinery safely to produce our specialty products. These are full-time, first-shift positions that do not require rotating shifts. The core schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch), and Friday 6:00 am to 10:00 am, with occasional overtime as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure the safe operation of all machinery and adhere to safety rules and initiatives.
  • Oversee machine operations to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality finished products.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Maintain proper documentation and machine entries for each job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safety-first mentality.
  • Mechanical skills and basic knowledge of industrial machinery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to enter product specifications into computers.
  • Physical ability to handle workloads up to 50 pounds and stand for most of the shift.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Candidates must be committed to working in a safe, drug-free environment.
