Job description

Job Description: The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machine equipment in a manufacturing environment (retail customization). Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished products against specifications using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. May include packing, wrapping, securing, labeling, and shipping.

Essential Job Functions:
  1. Operates embroidery machines and Direct to Garment machines.
  2. Operates small machines such as merrowing, laminating, and clicking.
  3. Performs routine maintenance such as light cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
  4. Inspects completed products and materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  5. Adheres to all safety protocols including following safe work practices.
  6. Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. At least 1 year of experience operating small machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Experience performing routine maintenance and/or simple repairs to small machinery in a manufacturing setting.
  3. Experience using industrial sewing machines and DTG machines is preferred.
  4. Close visual acuity to rethread sewing needles, inspect products, materials, and machinery for accuracy, quality, and defects.
  5. Finger dexterity to manipulate small objects and materials.
  6. Strong attention to detail.
  7. Ability to lift a roll of fabric up to 50 lbs up to 3 times a day.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.00 - $18.00 (depending on experience)
