Machine Operator - Manufacturing (Min. Starting Pay $21.95) (Finance)

POSITION SUMMARY

Matthews International is seeking a qualified Machine Operator to work in our Production Facility in Aurora, IN, for our memorialization business segment. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating production machinery.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operate production equipment in an industrial environment.
2. Use hand and power tools in a fast-paced setting.
3. Receive training to complete tasks and advance your career.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collaborate with production supervisors and operate machinery to meet production needs.
2. Determine parts to be manufactured based on orders and stock.
3. Monitor machinery operation and identify defects or malfunctions.
4. Cross-train in other departments and machines.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

1. Previous machine operation experience or equivalent education and experience.
2. High School diploma or GED preferred.
3. Mechanical aptitude with ability to use hand tools, power tools, forklifts, welding equipment, and cutting torches.
4. Ability to work overtime as needed.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

1. Stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and see regularly.
2. Lift and move up to 50+ pounds.
3. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
4. Work may involve exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, and chemicals.
