Machine Operator - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 33.00/hour - Sanford, ME

  • Our client, a respected industry leader with over 75 years of success, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their production team at their Sanford, ME facility.
  • The Machine Operator will be responsible for the safe, clean, and efficient operation of production machinery and related equipment, with a strong focus on producing consistent, high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a constant focus on safety by following all company policies, supervisor instructions, and lockout procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
  • Operate and monitor production machinery and related equipment
  • Maintain awareness of product quality, adjusting machine settings as needed to correct defects in height, appearance, or consistency
  • Understand and apply mix designs, color formulas, water settings, and batching procedures
  • Ensure all production meets established quality standards and immediately report any issues to the supervisor
  • Complete daily production reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Stay informed of weekly production schedules and prepare equipment accordingly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned work areas
  • Attend all scheduled meetings to discuss safety, production, and quality matters
  • Participate in informal weekly meetings to address ongoing production issues and updates
