Machine Operator - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 30.00/hour - Cleveland, OH

  • Our client, a respected manufacturer with a 70-year legacy of excellence in manufacturing metal components, is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team in Cleveland, OH.
  • The Machine Operator will set up, operate, and maintain machinery to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications, using precise measuring tools, performing quality inspections, and following all safety and maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain machines for operations.
  • Read blueprints and job routings to determine part specifications and production requirements.
  • Install and adjust tooling as needed for production.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using gauges and precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Tear down machine setups and prepare machines for next jobs after completion.
    Inspect parts during production to maintain quality standards throughout the run.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, keeping floors free of oil and equipment clean.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance and report any repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
  • Respond to tasks with urgency and professionalism, always acting in the company’s best interest.
  • Participate in ongoing training or educational programs as required.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties.
  • Proficient with basic math and measuring devices (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
