The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining mail insertion machines in a production environment.
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Previous inserter machine experience preferred, but not required.
Mechanically inclined.
Must have ability to work independently.
Be able to stand for long periods of time.
100% on premises located at the corporate office in Raleigh NC.
Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday
Responsible for operating automated mail inserters to process daily and weekly output from the Data Center.
Ensure all mail processing conforms to company guidelines, policies and procedures, and in accordance with postal requirements.
Person must be detail oriented to make certain that mail is processed according to predefined schedules.
Ensure postage meters have adequate postage and the correct meter dates are applied.
Clean and maintain inserters.
Pull production output as requested.
Request service on inserter machines, as needed.
Employee must maintain a neat and organized work area.
Maintain inventory control and ordering for supplies related to the Machine Room and Data Center printing.
Be willing to operate pallet jack and fork lift.
Be able to lift heavy boxes (30 lbs.).
Provide job status reports to supervisor.
Ability to work weekends and/or various shift rotations, as required.
