Job summary

Century-Furniture in Hickory, NC is seeking a machine operator to run a range of woodworking machines including bandsaw, hand shaper, table saw, pin router and other equipment. You will follow route sheets, maintain safety procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED preferred. The role requires standing for 8 hours, walking, frequent bending, twisting and lifting up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs with assistance) in a noisy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read route sheets and follow safety policies.
• Previous machine operation experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of machines including bandsaw, hand shaper, table saw, pin router, bell miter, variety saw, as well as bore and teton machines.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
