Summary

The Machine Operator Level C is responsible for operating various types of machinery to produce parts within dimensional tolerances, using appropriate feeds and speeds based on alloy type, to achieve optimal cutting conditions and maximize tool life.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow all EHS rules and regulations.
• Produce parts according to print requirements, and produce tooling, fixtures, or other parts using various types of machinery.
• Measure part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, or other measurement tools.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good, clean condition to maximize tool life.
• Perform safety checks on machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production or Plant Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to learn basic machine operation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to learn machine speed and feed rate adjustments.
• Effective team communication skills.
• Ability to recognize defects and out-of-tolerance measurements, escalating issues appropriately.
• Ability to document measurements clearly.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• One to three years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with heavy industrial equipment in a production environment.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

The job involves working in both indoor and outdoor production environments under various weather conditions, requiring the use of personal protective equipment as needed.

Physical activities include frequent walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling objects, with lifting requirements specified.
