Job Overview

The Production Machine Operator will safely operate various machines and equipment involved in production processes.

Position Details
  • Job Title: Machine Operator
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Department: Operations
  • Reports to: Production Supervisor
Responsibilities
  • Follow policies and procedures for meat processing, including GMPs and HACCP regulations.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by adhering to established procedures and rules.
  • Prepare, assemble, disassemble, and sanitize meat-processing equipment.
  • Maintain production logs to document the process.
  • Resolve process issues, make equipment adjustments, report data, and escalate problems as needed.
  • Respond promptly to the directives of supervisors or foremen.
  • Ensure work quality and document any quality issues for corrective actions.
Qualifications
Level One
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation.
  • Quick learner of production equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Ability to perform calculations and machine adjustments.
Level Two
  • Intermediate SAP skills.
  • Loading/unloading trailers and damage reporting.
  • Verifying exports and documentation.
Level Three
  • Advanced SAP proficiency.
  • Stock management, FIFO adherence, and team leadership.
  • Knowledge of grinding department requirements.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

Employees must stand, walk, lift up to 75 lbs., and perform other physical tasks during 8-hour shifts or longer. Safety procedures must be followed at all times.
