Job description

Summary:

The PMO Trainer position is responsible for developing line operators in all aspects of the operations of packaging equipment. They will facilitate training material and tests and provide leadership, direction and support while assuring completion of the daily production schedule. The Trainer will ensure adherence to the safety, quality, cost and efficiency standards.

Primary PMO Lead Trainer Responsibilities:

1. On floor & classroom training for all PMOs
2. Schedule Clean, Inspect, Lubricate process
3. Troubleshoot mechanical problems
4. Coordinate & monitor multiple bagger operations to assure maximum productivity & timely completion of production schedule
5. Maintain all packaging related documentation
6. Direct all operators to achieve 100% startup of all packaging equipment
7. Review all operator daily paperwork
8. Provide input to develop individual & department goals
9. May be asked to conduct one on one reviews with PMOs
10. Act as a leader & support teamwork
11. Plans and executes own work
12. Runs machines through breaks & lunches
13. Strong interpersonal skills in working with supervisors, managers, & crew leaders
14. Responsible for adherence to GMP policies, quality standards, production guidelines & safety huddles
15. Understands all Quality Control tests
16. Pass all Continuous Skills Development trainings for all levels of PMO
17. Works safely and follows all basic safety rules to help prevent accidents
18. Successfully pass Safety Training provided by the Continuous Skills Development Program
19. Assures Quality products are being produced
20. Occasionally directs other positions than PMOs (i.e. packers)
21. Completes all required documentation
22. Competent at completing Clean, Inspect, Lubricate process
23. Ability to learn packaging machine operational programming
24. Develop methods to minimize rework
25. Routinely plans & executes work

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Ability to speak, read and write English.
2. Willingness to become SME for multiple operations across lines and variety of machines
3. Effectively lead and train in both Healthy Snacking and Salad Manufacturing
4. Eager to participate in Process Improvement efforts to improve efficiencies and minimize down time
5. Understand and interpret production work orders
6. Demonstrate effective leadership, coaching and training abilities in formal and informal settings
7. Physical abilities to lift 50 pounds
