Job summary

ProAmpac - Lenexa is seeking a reliable Machine Operator (Lamination) for the 2nd shift in Lenexa, KS. The role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring lamination equipment to produce compliant laminated film under GMP and SQF standards.

You will load materials, monitor adhesion and film tension, perform quality checks, and maintain logs while adhering to safety procedures and food safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read a measuring tape.
  • Desire to learn and grow within manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow simple instructions.
  • Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to adjust machinery as needed.
  • Ability to monitor equipment and identify quality or production issues.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust lamination equipment to meet production and quality standards.
  • Load, unload, and stage film, adhesive rolls, and materials.
  • Monitor adhesive application, film tension, and machine performance during production.
  • Perform quality checks including measurements, coat weight, and mix ratio verification.
  • Maintain accurate production, quality, and computer logs.
  • Identify and properly dispose of contaminated adhesives or solvents per documented procedures.
  • Handle hazardous and universal waste and complete required Haz‑Mat training.
  • Follow GMP, SQF, OSHA, PPE, and food safety requirements.
  • Perform routine cleaning, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Schedule: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m., Monday-Friday

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and quality‑focused Machine Operator (Lamination) to join our flexible packaging manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring lamination equipment to produce laminated film that meets production, quality, and food safety standards. This position plays a key role in ensuring proper adhesion, film integrity, and compliance with safety, GMP, and SQF requirements in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
