We are seeking Machine Center Operators at our Vernon, NY location on 1st shift. These entry-level positions focus on handling lumber safely and efficiently. Candidates must perform physical labor in a typical sawmill environment, with exposure to weather conditions.

Responsibilities

1. Straighten lumber on conveyor to align for grading, sawing, edging, trimming, sorting, stacking, or transfer to other conveyors.
2. Shovel bark and chips; clean work area using broom and shovel. Ensure work area is free of banding and boards daily.
3. Learn to operate various machinery and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
4. Assist with climbing and crawling tasks related to housekeeping.
