Assist automatic and/or semi-automatic machinery in Gamma sterilization processes, making adjustments and repairs as necessary to maintain calibration, optimal performance, and productivity.
Medium work: Occasionally exerting 20-50 lbs., frequently 10-25 lbs., and constantly handling objects over 10 lbs. for lifting, loading, pushing, pulling, and moving objects. These physical demands exceed those of light work.
Associate degree or equivalent in mechanics, electronics, die-making, or related fields, with 2-4 years of experience in mechanical, electronic, die-making, or related activities involving automated or semi-automated equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.).
This position involves access to critical controls of a high-radiation nuclear source regulated by the NRC, requiring a thorough background investigation.
Ability to prioritize tasks, analyze malfunctions, identify causes, and implement solutions. Recognize process deviations, halt machinery if necessary, and seek help for corrections. Willingness to work other shifts and overtime as required. Follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision. Employee will be evaluated for advancement based on performance and knowledge.
Proficiency in English and Spanish communication skills.
