Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure dimensions using X-ray, micrometers, measuring tapes, and record results on paperwork.
• Proof test tubes and record data including footage and scrap/defects.
• Load turntable, set up Lasermic, and operate flex roller; ensure product quality.
• Follow work orders and specifications; perform computer transactions (MFGPro) as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment (5S+, TPM) and participate in CI activities.

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (Inspector) - Overnight 4 x 10's to join our team in Middlesex, NC!

This is an overnight position that will work a 4x10 schedule of 8 pm - 6:30 am, Monday - Thursday.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.47 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift premium.

What you’ll do:

• The Machine Operator is responsible for checking and inspecting tubes, proof testing and flex rolling. They remove defective products, maintain records and the manufacturing/production area, to comply with regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures.

• Inspect and measure dimensions of tubes to verify conformance to specifications using X-ray and other appropriate measuring tools (micrometer, measuring tapes etc.) and record accurately on paperwork

• Discard or reject tubes not meeting specifications

• Staple end to reel, inspect for defects and place tape to splices.

• Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area
• Review work orders, specifications, or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings
• Accurately complete computer transactions (MFGPro etc.) as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, DMR, etc.)
• Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, CI events, etc.
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
• Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
• Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
• Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Culture Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of inspection experience
• 1+ year of experience with computer transactions in ERP system
• 1+ year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing

Physical Environment
