Eaton Group’s IS AER FED division is seeking a Machine Operator (PTFE Preform) in Middlesex, NC. Work 4x10s on the overnight shift from 8:00 pm to 6:30 am, Sunday through Wednesday, with possible overtime.

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator (PTFE Preform) - Overnight 4x10's to join our team in Middlesex, NC!

This position will work 4, 10-hour shifts from 8 pm - 6:30 am, Sunday - Wednesday. Overtime may exceed these hours at times.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour + $0.50 per hour shift premium.

What you’ll do:

The Machine Operator (PTFE) is responsible for maintaining certain levels of work in process including Teflon blending, preforming, carbon blending and 6 inch preform to ensure high quality material and healthy levels of work in progress for next operation.

In this role, you will:

• Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
• Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools, including but not limited to drum lifts, pallet jacks, elevator and conveyor.
• Record operational or production data on specified forms.
• Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.
• Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area.
• Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.
• Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings.
• Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).
• Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, Kaizen events, etc.
• Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices
• Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
• Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Culture Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing

Working Conditions

Physical Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area with some work activities being done in room with constant temperature between 50-60 degrees F. Conditions may produce some discomfort, e.g. exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and fumes.

Sensory Attention

Almost constant need to give concentrated attention where multiple stimuli are changing quickly, and where two or more senses must be used in coordination.
