Job Summary

Produces inserted materials following Standard Work Processes to meet quality, output, and efficiency goals.

Responsibilities
  • Follow Standard Work procedures
  • Prepare, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot inserting machines
  • Complete QC procedures, logs, paperwork, checklists, and computer functions (MRDF, DCS, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Operator to ensure proper processing of finished materials
  • Understand machine capabilities to achieve optimal quality
  • Maintain workflow efficiency by evaluating each production stage
  • Perform preventative maintenance, proper job setup, routine inserting procedures, and inspections
  • Adjust machines accurately to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with other departments (Pressroom, Mail Dispatch, Warehouse, Shipping, Technicians)
  • Ensure safety and OSHA standards are upheld
  • Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards, and drive continuous improvements
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
  • Comply with security and compliance requirements
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.; vocational or technical certification preferred
  • Experience with high-volume/high-speed inserting machines (e.g., Pitney Bowes, Bell and Howell) is preferred
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Basic computer skills, understanding workflows, and job tickets
  • Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, team-oriented
  • Knowledge of inserting machine operation, setup, and safety protocols is a plus
Physical Demands

Must be able to stand and move for long hours, lift up to 30 lbs., and meet hearing and talking requirements. Reasonable accommodations available.

Work Schedule

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with additional hours depending on volume.
