Ken’s Foods, Inc. in Lebanon, Indiana, is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator for the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 2:30PM to 11:00PM. Candidates should have prior experience as a machine operator, producing high-quality products while maintaining food safety standards.

Machine Operator are multi-skilled individuals that can be rotated and utilized to support various operations. Machine Operators will have responsibilities that include some or all of the following tasks based on their work area; proper operating of machines, general cleaning of operational equipment, and product testing if required (quality at the source, QAS). Machine Operator will also need to exhibit skills and behaviors that support other team member’s tasks if no foreman or team lead can be present.

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent; or up to one month to three-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The Team Member is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The Team Member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
