General Profile: Has developed expertise typically through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience. Acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others— but not as a supervisor. Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate all major shop tools (CNC Router, Laser, Water Jet, Sheet Metal Brake, Teflon Press, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Fork Lift, and Cranes) to produce prototype parts, production parts, modifications, and repairs.
  • Support in-house customers such as manufacturing, engineering, and business units with a customer service approach. Interface effectively and courteously with customers and co-workers.
  • Use Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, and instructions to determine machining processes, procedures, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Perform machining and assembly tasks using standard machine shop equipment like surface grinders, drill presses, grinders, sanders, band saws, routers, and power tools.
  • Plan and perform complex machine set-ups, utilizing a good understanding of trigonometry for accurate angle calculations, to optimize machine capacity and minimize setups.
  • Nest parts to maximize material efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Plan and perform moderately complex machine set-ups, with a basic knowledge of trigonometry for angle calculations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure proper handling of tools and equipment, conforming to safety requirements.

Other Requirements: This position is physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, distinguishing between colors, working in noisy environments, using hand and power tools, and operating heavy machinery including forklifts.

Functional Knowledge: Develops specialized skills to perform assigned tasks.

Business Expertise: Understands how related teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives.

Leadership: Serves as a team lead, may allocate work, and provide guidance to junior team members.

The salary offered will be based on various factors including location, knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates may also be eligible for bonuses and stock awards. For sales roles, the salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC), which includes base salary and bonus at 100% achievement.
