Job summary

Boston Scientific in Maple Grove, MN is seeking a plastic extrusion operator to join a manufacturing team onsite five days a week. You will learn procedures, operate extrusion equipment, and ensure product quality while adhering to safety and Lean principles.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, supporting cross-functional teams, and learning SAP and related processes to meet production goals. On-the-job training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience with a High school diploma/degree/equivalent.
  • Experience operating a plastic extrusion machine is preferred.
  • Machine setup experience is preferred.

  • Builds product by following certified processes and meeting manufacturing goals and metrics.
  • Gains a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and related principles.
  • Willing to flex and rotate with the team and cross-functionally.
  • Maintains records such as SFP, TRS, PDM, SAP, and PEO.
  • Interprets quality specifications via SPC and understands tight tolerancing with measurement equipment.
  • Participates in Focused Factory cross-functional teams to drive metrics.
  • Performs basic extrusion troubleshooting and equipment preparation to meet customer requirements.
