Job summary

Kennametal Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator II in Ohio to set up, run, train, and troubleshoot Post-Coat Wetblast machines. You will load/unload carbide inserts, verify counts, and ensure processes meet specifications while observing safety and quality procedures.

The role requires reading blueprints, following routings, and using SAP MII and QMS systems. You will collaborate with setup personnel and supervisors to maximize daily production goals in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Able to do basic math.
• Ability to read and understand defect criteria, insert identification, blueprints, routings, and operating procedures.
• Proficiency with SAP MII and access to QMS documentation.
• Ability to handle inserts with fingers without chipping.
• Understand proper use of 30X Microscope.
• Communicate with setup personnel, inspectors, supervisors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Set up, run, train, and troubleshoot all Post-Coat Wetblast manual and automated machines.
• Load and unload carbide inserts into automated wetblast machine and verify counts.
• Set up orders using the correct program, process and trays; run in auto or manual mode.
• Perform routine maintenance and monitor processes; follow safety and inspection procedures.
