Job summary

  • Follow SOPs and maintain shift reports and checklists.
  • Attend training as needed and perform housekeeping duties.

What we need:

The machine operator is responsible formaterialmovementand machineryoperationsneeded to safely produce qualityproducts.

Whatyou’lldo:

Responsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention toidentifyingquality and manufacturing defects.

Gains understanding of correct parameters specific to Department processes to minimize defect opportunities and increase production output.

Trains to perform necessary adjustments to production line, via feedback from automated systemsmonitoring, manual testing, and product specifications.

Adheres to Company and Department standardsregardingdocumentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.

Abides by documentation standards andcataloguesadherence to production procedures, including shift reports and varying checklists.

Understands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures.

Responsible for material flow of raw and finished goods as needed, including operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools as needed.

Attend any job-related trainingdeemednecessary by supervision.

Follow all established standard operating procedures.

Perform general housekeepingdutiesas necessary.

Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Whatyouhave:

High School Diploma or equivalentrequired.

Prior experience in a manufacturing environmentrequired.

Prior forklift experiencerequired, 1+ year experience preferred.

Experiencein production processes involving paperor chemical handling preferred.

Good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all employees within the immediate unit and in related support roles.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingor maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to work independently.

What else?

This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, andadditionaldepartment-specific variables.Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will berequired, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.

Other working conditions may include working12 hourshifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.

Must be able tolift upto 50lbs.;walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs arerequired.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $20.15 and $21.30 per hour at the commencement of employment. Compensation and range may vary by location. Final base pay is determined based on job-related factors such as work location, skills, experience, education, and training, consistent with applicable state and local laws. Base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which may also include incentive compensation, commissions (if applicable), discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and company-sponsored benefits.
