Job summary

What We Need:

Independently performs the operation of production equipment within the assigned department to safely produce products that attain and exceed quality standards.

What You’ll Do:
  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identify, recommend, and implement safety improvements.
  • Responsible for quality inspections throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects.
  • Demonstrates understanding of correct parameters, including schedule adherence, specific to assigned department processes to minimize defect opportunities and applies knowledge to increase production output.
  • Perform necessary adjustments to production line via feedback from automated systems monitoring and product specifications.
  • Ensures appropriate allocation and arrival of various materials via manual and machine loading for assigned production line.
  • Adheres to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery and equipment concerns using training, reaction plans, and department procedures.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management.
What You Have:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent .
  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • 1+ year familiarity with production mechanical systems preferred.
  • 1+ year training in quality processes or procedures preferred.
What You’re Good At:
  • Proficient computer literacy is required to complete various tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot through the use of problem-solving skills and critical thinking required.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, including communication with various other Departments via radio, phone, and in-person conversations.
What Else?
  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables.
  • Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
