Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator II in Minnesota to set up and operate a production machine following established procedures. You will ensure product quality, maintain equipment, and keep a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include completing preshift checks, recording production data, and assisting with safe handling of materials. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; applicant must be at least 18 years old and able to work hourly shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.
• Working knowledge of basic math.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensures final product meets customer expectations and secures materials and supplies required for operation.
• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and according to procedures.
• Continually watches the machine to ensure quality.
• Stacks completed products and, if required, may cover, label and band components/finish products.
• Uses hand tools to complete assembly and maintains a safe, clean work area.
• Completes preshift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems.
• Maintains production records as required and checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties in line with safety and quality procedures; may conduct preventive maintenance.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
