Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Machine Operator I to set up and operate production equipment following established procedures. You will ensure material readiness and maintain orderly work areas while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include pre-shift inspections, accurate production records, and supporting continuous improvement programs. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work 18+ years old with basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine safely and efficiently per procedures.
• Stacks finished products per procedures; may cover, label and band components if required.
• Keeps work area safe, clean and organized; ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift inspection checklist and reports issues.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Follows safety and quality procedures, rules and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs/meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
