Job summary

Mohawk Industries, Inc. in Commerce, TX is seeking a Machine Operator II on B Shift to support the production line.

You will perform quality inspections and adjust production parameters to ensure safe, high-quality output while operating pallet jacks, forklifts and related equipment. This role requires a High School diploma and manufacturing experience, with forklift expertise and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience is required.
• Prior forklift experience is required (1+ year preferred).
• Experience in production processes involving paper or chemical handling is preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects.
• Gains understanding of correct parameters specific to Department processes to minimize defect opportunities and increase production output.
• Trains to perform necessary adjustments to production line, via feedback from automated systems monitoring, manual testing, and product specifications.
• Adheres to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines.
• Abides by documentation standards and catalogues adherence to production procedures, including shift reports and varying checklists.
• Understands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including PPE and alternate work procedures.
• Responsible for material flow of raw and finished goods as needed, including operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools as needed.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
