Job summary

Alfa Laval Mid Europe GmbH in Richmond, VA is seeking a production worker for 3rd shift (Sunday–Thursday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM). Pay is $23.50 per hour with a $1 shift differential. You will follow Standard Operating Procedures, receive daily assignments from the Team Leader, and work safely with PPE.

The ideal candidate has a High School or GED and is ready to engage in 5S, Kaizen improvements, and cross-training across manufacturing processes. Teamwork and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader/Team Manager and execute production with Standard Operating Procedures as a base.
• Report any deviations to Status Boards immediately and update the Team Leader/Team Manager.
• Look into your own areas for waste (time, motion, transportation, inventories etc) elimination opportunities and drive KAIZEN improvements.
• Engaged in daily & weekly 5S routines to achieve high 5S Standard and Sustain it.
• Look for cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes & better ways to add value.
• Use the downtime efficiently to learn the new processes & run improvements from the status board activities.

Shift Information: 3rd shift Your shift schedule will be Sunday through Thursday, 10:00PM - 6:30AM, overtime as needed including weekends. Salary- 23.50 hourly + 1.00 shift differential

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION (job duties and responsibilities):

Accurate & Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment’s (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Hand Gloves, Uniform others as required by the specific process) Receive daily work assignments from the Team Leader/ Team Manager and execute production with Standard Operating Procedures as a base. Report any deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment’s etc related) to Status Boards immediately and update the Team Leader / Team Manager. Be active and engaged into the Daily Status Board Meetings by explaining the deviations and propose solutions. Review & suggest any improvements for the Standard Operating Procedures. Look into your own areas for waste (time, motion, transportation, inventories etc) elimination opportunities and drive KAIZEN improvements. Engaged in daily & weekly 5S routines to achieve high 5S Standard and Sustain it. Constantly look for the cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes & better ways to add value. Use the downtime efficiently to learn the new processes & run improvements from the status board activities.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION DESIRED
