Unique Industries, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator II to work in the Blairs facility.

The role involves operating and monitoring more complex machinery, including conveyors, hoppers, shuttles, fillers, baggers, scales and sorters, to ensure efficiency and quality. The position requires attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work with multiple computer interfaces while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Completes pre-shift calibration and inspection of machines.
• Performs post-shift cleaning and keeps area organized.
• Monitors machines during shift and implements changes to maintain efficiency.
• Changes film and print ribbon as needed.
• Ensures machinery operates safely and reports issues promptly.
• Monitors product quality and completes required paperwork accurately.
• Maintains professional relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
• Demonstrates commitment to quality and safety.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Machine Operator II to work in the Blairs facility. The Machine Operator II effectively operates and monitors more complex machinery in various departments. Machines operated or monitored include, but are not limited to, conveyor belts, hoppers, DG shuttle, fillers, baggers, scales, and sorters.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes pre-shift calibration and inspection of machines to ensure working order.
• Completes post-shift cleaning of machines; keeps work area clean.
• Provides continuous monitoring of the machines throughout the shift. Makes systemic, mechanical, and physical changes as needed to maintain efficiency
• Changes film and print ribbon as needed.
• Ensures machinery is operating efficiently; reports issues immediately to supervisors and maintenance.
• Monitors and maintains product quality.
• Accurately completes required paperwork and reports.
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• Demonstrates a commitment to company-wide quality and safety.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Must be able to trouble shoot and problem solve quickly when problems present

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-year prior experience and/or training in a technical or mechanical environment preferred.
• 1-year experience in operating automated machinery and equipment including systemic set-up and manipulation.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Valid State Driver’s License required
• Must obtain forklift license from Unique Industries

Pay

• We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.
• The starting hourly pay rate is $14.50.
• Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s compensation guidelines, and business needs.
