Job summary

Canam Steel Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator II for the 1st shift in Buckeye, AZ. You will operate multiple machines, monitor output for quality, and utilize overhead cranes to move heavy materials safely on the production floor.

Responsibilities include routine machine maintenance, ensuring a clean work area, and strict adherence to safety protocols. The role requires flexibility for overtime, weekends, and various shifts as needed to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Valid crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor production output and quality to meet specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes for efficient material handling.
• Operate a variety of machinery, including bridging machines, saws, channel shears, angle shears, crimpers, and end bar benders.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment as required.
• Lifting or moving heavy objects.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.
