Job Description

The Machine Operator Level 2 is a tiered position after successful evaluation of a Level One Operator after 1 year experience running all pieces of Single Serve Equipment. This position is responsible for running all pieces of equipment at the highest function and efficiency as well as maintaining education on up-to-date troubleshooting opportunities on pieces of equipment. Machine Operator Level 2 individuals will be the most knowledgeable individuals in the department that are able to run machines at top levels. They will be responsible for upholding the highest level of communication with Single Serve Leadership as well as Technicians in the Maintenance department. Machine Operator Level 2's will also be responsible for training of Level 1 operators and helping further the knowledge of Level 1 Operators with continuing education of troubleshooting fixes.

Job Functions:

Machine Operator Level 2 personnel will be responsible for ensuring all training received in Level 1 is continued into this role and held at the highest standard. Personnel who have passed evaluation for this role will be held responsible for ensuring good run settings are logged and communicated with Single Serve/Maintenance Leadership. They have the knowledge to make the highest level of adjustments without need for approval to do so but will have to exhibit excellent communication in why adjustments were made to Single Serve/Maintenance Leadership. Personnel in this position have the ability to assist Maintenance Technicians in major downtime issues as well as Preventative Maintenance. They will be required to communicate efficiency gains and losses in depth and assist in troubleshooting how to move the machinery back into a steady state. These individuals will have the highest level of knowledge on all pieces of equipment and perform at the highest level.


Job Duties:


  • Run Production Based machinery to effectively hit all production/waste goals

  • Effectively communicate any issues, findings, positive and negative with Leadership in Single Serve/Maintenance Departments

  • Ensure a clean machine and clean work area for incoming shift

  • Ensure highest efficiency and top production performance out of all machinery

  • Ensure recording of all production-based changes and downtimes of machinery

  • Responsible for being the "handshake" between Single Serve and Maintenance

  • Responsible for continuing education on all pieces of equipment when opportunities present themselves

  • Primary Machine and Secondary machine mastery (ie. Rychiger/Schubert or Schubert/Immy)
