Job summary

Tosoh Quartz, Inc. is looking for a Machine Operator II for the 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm shift, Monday through Friday with a 10% shift differential. You will set up and operate precision production equipment, inspect quartz glass parts, and ensure compliance with drawings and process documentation.

Strong attention to detail and experience with calipers and micrometers are required. The role emphasizes safe, organized work practices, daily maintenance of equipment, and contributing to productivity.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate production equipment including saws, drills, lapping and polishing machines.

• Maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area.
• Monitor production processes to ensure quality and productivity.

What you'll do at Tosoh Quartz.

• Set up and operate production equipment including saws, core drills, lapping and polishing machines, and grinders.
• Produce and detail various-sized quartz glass parts to conform to specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
• Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
• Verify part or process conformance to specification calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production with approved inspection tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages and comparators.
• Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.
• Maintain equipment. Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
• Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.

Who you are.

Minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience operating specialty production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and following detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to see small details, finish variations, and defects.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience using precision measurement equipment like calipers and micrometers
• Knowledge of Machine Mathematics.
