Purpose Statement
Under the direction of Supervisor or Team Leader, performs duties required to machine components produced in our manufacturing facility. Produce components per engineering prints with safety and quality as their focus. Multiply alloys and materials will regularly be used.
Job responsibilities and tasks
Sets up and operates a variety of CNC and manual grinding, milling, lathe and planer machines, fits and/or assembles parts by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Uses knife grinder, lathe, miller, planer, measuring and other equipment to perform job.
• Studies blueprints, sketches, machine parts or specifications to grind, machine or assemble parts
• Must be able to machine long parts with accuracy
• Performs preventative maintenance to maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment
• Inspects work and completes inspection forms.
• Handles materials as necessary, loading and unloading
• Maintains an organized and clean work area
• Provides in-house shop support as directed by supervisor

Physical and Mental Qualifications
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines & machining centers, and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Candidate required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, maneuver within tight spaces, climb on machinery, and routinely lift upto 50 lbs. Must have visual acuity, manual dexterity,good hearing, coordination, balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
