Job description

Ecolab, the global leader in premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional, and industrial markets, is seeking a Machine Operator II. This role is responsible for setting up and operating production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, as well as reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. This position also involves adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up and operate shop machines independently.
  • Design basic tooling from verbal discussions and perform custom grinding and polishing.
  • Collaborate with engineering to create tooling and programs for sheet metal production.
  • Work from blueprints, specifications, and verbal instructions.
  • Start and shut down machines daily, operate controls, gauges, and monitors.
  • Ensure safety devices are functioning, wear safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
  • Monitor part quality to meet specifications.
  • Perform routine setups, report damage or faults.
  • Conduct routine cutting and drilling tasks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, oil, grease, clean, and refill machinery.
  • Accurately document production and complete paperwork.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
  • Communicate maintenance, quality, or safety issues proactively.
  • Assist in training team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Details:

  • Location: Roscoe, IL
  • Shift: Mon - Thurs 6am - 4pm, OT on Fridays as needed
  • Pay: $22.50/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in a metal or fabrication shop.
  • No immigration sponsorship available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical training.
  • Ability to distinguish metals.
  • English reading and speaking skills.
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good time management and communication skills.

Compensation Range:

$22.50/hour, eligible for overtime. Compensation considers experience, education, location, and other factors. We adhere to all wage and hour laws.
