Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is seeking a Machine Operator II for our NC Faison facility. This full-time role on the 1st shift (6am–3:30pm, Mon-Fri with some Sundays) focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining production machinery to deliver high-quality boxed products.

You will follow safety procedures, complete QA paperwork, and support continuous improvement. Ideal candidates read and write in English, hold forklift certification, and can stand for long periods and lift heavy items as part of daily

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; forklift certification required.
• Standing and walking 100%, use of both hands, bending, lifting, and squatting.
• Factory setting requires PPE; unconditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the machine and maintain production at capacity.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform basic maintenance with common tools.
• Ensure boxes are correct and properly glued; complete paperwork for QA/production team.
• Maintain machine cleanliness; complete daily CIL checklists.
• Operate within safety rules and report downtime and causes to maintenance.
• Document any parts replaced with defect tags and verify normal operations.

Job Description

About the Role: The Machine Operator ensure the set-up, operate, and maintain machinery. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained. Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues to Supervisor as well as the following specific duties involving food safety and quality. Ensure that boxes are correct for the product being run. Ensure that the boxes are properly glued. Properly fill out all paperwork required by LCT team, QA/production Supervisor. Ensure that all machine guards and all safety switches are in place and in working order on the box machine.

• Start Machine and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance with proper tools such as Wrenches, T-shaped and L-shaped wrenches, and channel locks to loosen bolts during set up and adjustments.
• Clean Machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area. CIL checklist must be filled out daily at the start and end of the shift, this shows verification of the cleaning and lubrication process.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble assigned equipment in a safe manner.
• Set up machine to specific size box needed based on production schedule.
• During shift make sure machine is clean/scrape off any excessive glue on machine.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Downtime forms must be completed, during any downtime event/If more than 5 events occur or downtime event of 60 minutes a 6W2H must be performed between operator and maintenance to find the root cause of the issue.
• If any parts replaced, you must fill out a defect tag to show that the machine was repaired and working in normal operations.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st shift, which operates from 6am--3:30pm Monday through Friday with some Sundays.
