Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator II at our NC Faison facility. This full-time role operates on 1st shift (6am–3:30pm) and focuses on set-up, run, and maintain of packaging machinery to deliver high-quality products.

You will troubleshoot issues, ensure boxes are correct and glued, perform safety checks, and record downtime and maintenance. We value reliability, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Commitment to PPE usage and safety rules in a factory setting.

Responsibilities

• Report food safety or quality issues to Supervisor and QA/production staff.
• Ensure boxes are correct and properly glued; complete paperwork.
• Keep machine guards and safety switches in place; run and adjust as needed.
• Start, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance with proper tools.
• Clean machinery and maintain the work area; fill daily CIL checklist.
• Assemble/disassemble equipment safely and set up for box size per schedule.
• Comply with safety and health regulations; document downtime events and root cause.
• If parts are replaced, fill a defect tag to show repair and normal operation.

Job Description:

About the Role:

The Machine Operator ensure the set-up, operate, and maintain machinery. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

• Responsible for reporting any food safety or quality issues to Supervisor as well as the following specific duties involving food safety and quality.Ensure that boxes are correct for the product being run.Ensure that the boxes are properly glued.Properly fill out all paperwork required by LCT team, QA/production Supervisor.Ensure that all machine guards and all safety switches are in place and in working order on the box machine.

• Start Machine and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance.

• Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance with proper tools such as Wrenches, T-shaped and L-shaped wrenches, and channel locks to loosen bolts during set up and adjustments.

• Clean Machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area. CIL checklist must be filled out daily at the start and end of the shift, this shows verification of the cleaning and lubrication process.

• Ability to assemble and disassemble assigned equipment in a safe manner.

• Set up machine to specific size box needed based on production schedule.

• During shift make sure machine is clean/scrape off any excessive glue on machine.

• Comply with all safety and health regulations.

• Downtime forms must be completed, during any downtime event/If more than 5 events occur or downtime event of 60 minutes a 6W2H must be performed between operator and maintenance to find the root cause of the issue.

• If any parts replaced, you must fill out a defect tag to show that the machine was repaired and working in normal operations.

Important Details: This is a full-time permanent role on 1st shift, which operates from 6am--3:30pm Monday through Friday with some Sundays.
