Job summary

Page Mechanical Group, Inc. in California is seeking a Machine Operator to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on multiple machines. You will also inspect parts to specifications and adjust as needed to maintain quality.

Training logs must be completed for a designated zone. This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months of related experience or training.

Job description

Hourly Pay: $18.50

The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines. The operator will also be responsible for inspecting parts to specifications and adjusting as necessary to maintain quality specification. To obtain this job title, a machine operator must be able to operate and complete a training log associated with a particular zone.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Housekeeping and sanitation of area.
  • Ability to train others on operations and functions of the equipment.
  • Collect and enter data.
  • Pay is dependent on experience and skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.
