Responsibilities

• Proficiently operate basic machinery independently at a defined rate with proper quality.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of the products they assemble and how they impact the business.
• Continuously learn the principles, practices, and processes of their job as changes occur.
• Safely handle materials utilizing proper lifting techniques, including overhead hoists/lift tables.
• Communicate hazards and/or equipment issues with leadership.
• Occasionally provide basic training to employees as needed.
• Cross-train in different areas within the department and flex to different stations as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 1 year of experience operating relevant machinery or equivalent.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25-50 pounds. Specific conditions include frequent computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel may be required.
