Position Description

The Machine Operator I operates assigned workstations to produce high-quality, timely jobs. This role may involve setting up machines and serving as the core operator throughout the production cycle. A commitment to quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement is essential. Strong mechanical and communication skills, along with proactive machine maintenance, are required. Adherence to company policies and safety protocols is mandatory.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment by following standards, procedures, and legal regulations, including 5S methodology.
  • Learn and understand machine operations, standards, and manufacturing practices to ensure efficient production.
  • Review work orders and schedules to determine specifications and setup sequences.
  • Test and adjust machine controls to regulate speeds and actions.
  • Install, align, and lock fixtures using gauges, templates, and hand tools.
  • Monitor machine operation and record data during production.
  • Measure workpieces to verify conformance to standards, using calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
  • Perform quality checks and make corrections as needed.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication.
  • Ensure productivity standards while minimizing raw material waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Relevant certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Operate manufacturing and office equipment.
  • Repetitive hand use and manual dexterity.
  • Prolonged standing or sitting.
  • Operate machinery and power tools.
  • Ascend/descend ladders and work in confined spaces.
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Good vision and perception skills.

Target compensation ranges from $21.00 to $22.50/hr, DOE.
